Drs. P

Recently the famous Duth poet Heinz Polzer, alias Drs. P. died at the age of 95. I had the privilege to illustrate three books of Drs. P.. For his book "Sven de bevrijder" (Sven the liberator)  I made ten illustrations. The book was published in 2005 and consists 120 verses,
For two other poet books  'Geld geldt "and" Makkers ... " I made illustrations and these were published in 2000 and 2001 (besides poems from Drs. P. you can find poems by Ivo de Wijs and Driek van Wissen).

It is special to see the illustrations after all these years, The originals are stuck somewhere in a box (made with ink on paper), and the illustrations shown here are scanned directly from the book.

Hungry Tiger and Clever Rabbit

For Clean Slate Press (New Zealand) I illustrated a children's book in early 2015. It will be published in New Zealand and Australia. The story is about a hungry tiger, a rabbit and a clever boy. It is an old Korean story that is retold by Lucretia Samson.

In addition to this book I have been working in recent months at some more books, including two Spanish-language books for an American publisher (Benchmark Education Publishers), a book about dinosaurs for Igloo books (England) and I am about to illustrate a series of books for Oxford University Press (England).
